This is my second book report for the month of January. Once again, the title of my book is
“The Series Of Unfortunate Events Book 10: The Slippery Slope. It was a good book and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading mysteries. Even if you don’t like mysteries though, I believe that you could still like this book.
I recommend this book to boys and girls of all ages. Well, maybe not all ages. Probably from age 7-ish to 17-ish. For older readers though, this book may be just a little too easy to read, and for younger readers, it may be too hard.
This book has probably the same recommendation as the last book I read, “The Series Of Unfortunate Events Book 9: The Carnivorous Carnival. Except that this book I just a little bit harder than it’s prequel. There are a total of 13 books in this series and they progressively get to a harder level between the first book to the thirteenth.
As I said before, I’d recommend this book to lot of people, but I really think you’d like it if you’re in to mysteries. The whole series is one big mystery, and in each book a few secrets are revealed but many more appear. Like the saying “one door closes, two doors opens”. if you like knowing what’s going on at all times, and don’t like not know (like in a mystery), then this is definitely not the book, or series, for you.
Altogether, I recommend this book to a lot of people. I don’t know how many times I can say that. It’s a good book, with a good plot, and with characters with a lot of depth. I liked it a lot and I hope future readers will too.

January Book Report 1 - Rating (1-10)
For my January book report I read the Series Of Unfortunate Events Book 10: The Slippery Slope. This book is about the three Baudelaire orphans, and all their troubles on Mt. Fraught. The youngest sibling, Sunny Baudelaire, has been kid napped by Count Olaf. He brought her up on the Mountain while trying to find the VFD secret head quarters, and also he was trying, once again, to get the Baudelaire fortune.
If I had to rate this book on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it somewhere between an 8 or a 9. I wouldn’t rate it a 10 because it’s written as more of an easy read, it’s kind of in between the level of reading I’m at, and the reading level below me. It was a good book though, and I liked it quite a bit. (I must’ve liked it since this was my second time reading it.) I love how these books are written. They are written in the second person. That’s where it’s as if the author is really talking to you. I think it adds a neat perspective to the book, and it makes the book just a little bit different from other books.
I would take away a few points on the scale though, because of the lower reading level, and because it almost annoyed me a little bit. It was annoying because the whole series is just one big mystery, and I hate not knowing what’s happening, but that’s how it is supposed to be. I guess it’s really just my preference.
All in all though, this is a good book. Even if I rate it kind of low, you may rate it even higher, or maybe lower, but I would guess higher or equal to what I rated it. Anywho, if I were you, I would plan on reading this book. :)
