This is the second post for my October/November book report. Once again, the title of the book I read is, "The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 7 The Carnivorous Carnival". This book is about three siblings, orphans to be exact, that lost their parents in a very deadly fire. The fire burnt down their whole home, and everything in it.
I would recommend this book to just about everyone. It’s one of my favorite books and I think that anybody who read it would like it. Some adults may not enjoy this book as much as I do though. "The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 7 The Carnivorous Carnival” is written in a way that more kids than adults would be able to relate to. The book explains how the kids feel without their parents, and how lonely they have all felt without their parents. Some adults may not be able to relate to these feelings so much because it has been a while since they’ve had to depend on their parents and they could have forgotten how much they really need their parents.
I also think that kids would be able to relate to this book very well because they rely on their parents so much. They could be able to partially imagine what it would feel like to lose their parents and they may help them like or understand the book better.
Also, I don’t think children that are too young should read this book because it may be too violent for them. They could get night mares because in this book there is a man with hooks for hands and I lady gets eaten by lions.
All that aside, I think that this book is a great book for almost everyone to read.

October/November Book Report!
The book I read for my October/November book report is "The Series Of Events; Book 9 The Carnivorous Carnival". This is one of my favorite series of books. I can really relate to all the characters, and when I'm reading the books I feel as if I am there in the story with them.
If I had to rate this book on a scale of one to ten, I think I would rate it somewhere between an eight and a ten. This book is very good. The author, Lemony Snicket, uses very many adjectives, and explains everything in great detail. These are a few of the reasons why I would rate the book so high. A few of the rating points would be taken away, though, because I felt that the book could have ended better. Throughout the whole book, there are a lot of questions that either the Baudelaire’s or the reader asks themselves. Now, I think it’s very good for a book to end its chapter with a big question, or to end a book that’s a part of a series with a question, but I think this book just may have a few too many questions. It’s actually quite annoying. The author leaves you with too much to think about and so many questions to ponder, that you almost just want to give up reading the book because you don’t ever know if you’ll get those questions answered. All that aside, I like this book very much, and if you’re thinking of reading it but you’re a little skeptical about all the mysteries, don’t worry about it. I’ve read two more books of this series after this one and the author answers very many of your questions.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Book Report Paragraph 6: Themes/ Lessons
For my book, “The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 The Austere Academy”, There is really only one main theme or lesson learned throughout the whole book. “Do not judge a book by its cover.”
This lesson or theme is learned right away. The Baudelaire orphans, Violet, Klaus and Sunny, go to lunch one day. While they are at lunch they can not find a table to go sit at. Two people, a boy and a girl that look exactly like each other, motion Violet, Klaus, and Sunny over to come sit by them. The Baudelaires introduce them selves and ask what them twin’s names are, but they are not wins. The two children inform the Baudelaire siblings that they are not twins, and that their names are Isadora and Quigley. They are, in fact, triplets. Their other brother, Quigley, was lost in a fire along with their parents. Do not judge a book by its cover. The Baudelaires jumped to conclusions and thought the Quagmire triplets were twins.
The next time this lesson comes into place is when Count Olaf comes to Prufrock Preparatory Boarding School pretending to be Coach Genghis. All of the adults at Prufrock Preparatory Boarding School think that Coach Genghis is really a gym coach. Only the Baudelaires, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny can see that he is really Count Olaf in disguise. All of the adults judged Count Olaf by his cover. They did not look deep enough to see the true him. Also, when Count Olaf comes, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are always on the look out for Olaf. Where ever they go they are super wary. They judged Count Olaf’s book by his cover too. They expected Count Olaf to have a simple, easy plan that they could just figure out easily. Count Olaf is way sneakier, far more evil, and extra devious that he wouldn’t have such and easy plan that the Baudelaire children could figure it out so soon. His plan was so treacherous that the children couldn’t figure out his trap until it was almost over. Count Olaf almost had the Baudelaires, along with their fortune, in his grasp. If Violet, Klaus, and Sunny would not have jumped to conclusions so quickly about Count Olaf, they could have planned better for when Olaf tried to capture them at last.
Always remember, don’t judge a book by his cover. You may have to dig deep to find the real meaning of something. Also, you should always try to think of the possible out comes of something.
That is the theme of my story, “The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 The Austere Academy”. Thank you for reading, and have a good day/night.

Book Report Paragraph 5: Conflict(s) and Resolution(s)
In my book, “The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 The Austere Academy”, there is only one major conflicts “What will Count Olaf do this time to the orphans, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire, to try to get the enormous Baudelaire Fortune?”
Count Olaf shows up one day at Prufrock Preparatory Boarding School. It was a normal day, just like any other day, for the three Baudelaire siblings. At lunch time Violet happened to look out the window, and noticed the children of Prufrock Preparatory Boarding School had a new gym coach. The Baudelaires did not have gym that day so they did not get to meet this new gym teacher. The next morning, Vice Principal Nero knocked on the door to The Orphan’s Shack. Violet, the oldest Baudelaire, opened the door to find Vice Principal Nero and Count Olaf, dressed up as a gym coach, waiting at her door. Count Olaf informs Vice Principal that “yes, these orphans look very fast. Orphans, you know, are very fast and have great legs for running.” Count Olaf introduces himself to the Baudelaires as Coach Genghis, their new gym coach. He tells them that he will be holding a very special gym class just for these three “special” orphans. This special class will be called Special Orphan Running Exercises, or for short, S.O.R.E. He also says that they will begin soon and he abruptly leaves, but not without flashing the Baudelaire orphans a look of his evil, greedy, little eyes. The next day at lunch, Carmelita Spatz, an evil little girl with bouncing blonde, spiral curls, gives a message to the Baudelaires saying that they are supposed to meet “Coach Genghis” out on the lawn immediately following dinner. The siblings follow her directions and when they get there our conflict is revealed. “What will Count Olaf do this time to the orphans, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire, to try to get the enormous Baudelaire Fortune?” He makes the orphans paint a giant luminous circle on the grass that will glow in the dark. Count Olaf tells Violet, Klaus and Sunny that they will have to run laps around this circle until he tells them to stop. Around sunrise Count Olaf eventually tells the Baudelaires to go to bed. Count Olaf makes the Children run S.O.R.E. for about a month. The Baudelaires get no sleep really and start to fall asleep in their classes. Since they are failing, Vice Principal Nero is having a very important exam for Violet, and Klaus. If they get anything less than 100% on these tests they will be immediately expelled from Prufrock Prep. The Baudelaires need to find time to study, but they also have to be at S.O.R.E. What are they going to do? The siblings’ friends, Isadora and Duncan volunteer to pretend to be Violet and Klaus and run S.O.R.E. for them. Violet and Klaus, with Sunny’s help, stay up all night and study for their exams. Bright and early the next morning the siblings take their exams. Both Violet ad Klaus ace their tests and think they are home free. Too bad for Violet and Klaus, “Coach Genghis” figures out that Isadora and Duncan were pretending to be Violet and Klaus. All five of the children are now expelled. The Baudelaires should be sad but they are really quite happy. They are rid of Count Olaf! For now at least.

Book Report Paragraph 4: Reccomendation
“The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 The Austere Academy” was a very good book. It was probably my favorite book out of the whole series so far. It is mostly a very mysterious mystery, but all the while heart warming and touching. I think this would be a good book for anybody to read. If you are into mystery books, you should read “The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 The Austere Academy”. There are a lot of mystery parts in this book. The first and shortest mystery presents itself in the very first pages of the book. Where are the Baudelaire orphans being taken to next? In one of the first sentences of the book, the author will tell you that the Baudelaires are being taken to a boarding school. Which boarding school? What will this boarding school be like? Will the Baudelaires like it? Will Olaf show up once again? Will the Baudelaires finally get to live a peaceful life and just forget about Olaf? All of these questions are answered very soon in the book. When the Baudelaires get to the school and you learn a little bit about it, the Baudelaires meet the Quagmire triplets. You start to ask yourself, “Are these new children good?” Do they have anything to do with Olaf? How will they play into this new story of the Baudelaire orphans’ life? There are many questions similar and different to these questions all throughout the book. Some of your questions will be answered right away, while others may have to wait until the very last pages of this magnificent book. When Olaf finally presents himself again, somewhere around the middle of the book, you will wonder how he found the Baudelaires at Prufrock Preparatory Boarding School. What will happen to the Baudelaires now that Olaf is there? What evil scheme has Count Olaf thought up this time to try to get to the Baudelaires enormous fortune? How will Violet, Klaus, and Sunny try to reveal who Count Olaf is? Most importantly to me, “why don’t the adults see that this strange man is, in fact, Count Olaf in disguise?” So, if you are into mystery books, and really enjoy reading them, I think this is the book for you. It is kind of a sad book, but also very happy at many times. “The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 The Austere Academy” is a great book for anybody, young or old, to read.

Book Report Paragraph 3: Setting
There are many settings in my book, "The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 The Austere Academy". Some of the settings I felt the book could do without. But other setting are very important, the book would be nothing without them. The first setting in my book isn't very important. The Baudelaire orphans, Violet Klaus and Sunny, are riding in the car with Mister Poe. Mister Poe's car is red. Rusty red. It is a very old Volk's Wagon and is almost as loud as Mister Poe's excessive coughing. The children and Mister Poe are driving through the Finite Forest. Mister Poe is driving the children to their new home. Finite Forest is very large. Some had argued with the name of it to try to get it changed to the Infinite Forest. The next setting in my story is Prufrock Preparatory Boarding School. The Baudelaire orphans are sent here because their last guardian, Sir Sal, was upset and done with them so he shipped them off to boarding school. The school is made up of many different buildings. The buildings vary in size but they are all the same shape. That one fine shape is a dark gray rectangle. All of the buildings are crowded on campus and there is an archway to get on the campus. This look fits the look of a graveyard. The children get a very bad first impression on their new school, especially because they've dealt a lot with deaths of close relatives. The campus is large, about six football fields in length and about eight football fields in width. On the far corner of campus, away from everything, is the Orphan's Shack. The Orphan's Shack is where the orphan's have to stay. They didn't pay a tuition, because they have no money. Orphan's who don't pay tuition have to stay in the Orphan's Shack. The shack is made of tin. It is not a very suitable place for three children to live. It is about the size of a large bathroom. There are no beds in the shack, only three small bales of hay. Violets bale is almost too small for her, her feet almost hang off the edge. Klaus’ bale is just about perfect, and obviously Sunny’s is too big. There is orange, smelly, dripping fungus on the ceiling that makes a very loud ”plop” sound when it drips to the floor. There are also little red crabs that run all around on the floor. These crabs like to pinch things, especially toes. Those are all of the important settings in my book, , "The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 The Austere Academy".

Book Report Paragraph 2. Main character (how they change)
My book, again, is "The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 Austere Academy"
The three main characters in my book are Violet Baudelaire, Klaus Baudelaire, and little Sunny Baudelaire. The Tree children are orphans. Their house was burned down in a terrible fire. The Baudelaire mansion had everything the orphans loved in it, including their parents. The first character I'm going to talk about is Violet Baudelaire.
Violet Baudelaire is 14 years old, has long dark brown hair, and a pretty face. She loves inventing things and being with her siblings who are now the whole world to her. From the beginning of "The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 Austere Academy", to the end, Violet Baudelaire doesn't change very much. Violet and her siblings see Count Olaf again and Violet has to come up with an invention to get rid of him. Unfortunately the oldest Baudelaire cannot fulfill that dream. While the Baudelaire orphans are at their new boarding school, the have to reside in a small, dinky, tin shack at the far end of the campus. All of the mean kids call it the orphan's shack. There is dripping fungus on the ceiling and pinching crabs on the floor. Violet has to make an invention to get rid of the fungus and the crabs. She makes a pair of shoes for each of her siblings and for herself. These shoes are special because they have a piece of metal and a spring on the bottom. If, when you are wearing these shoes, you walk around, the shoes will make a very annoying loud "click" these shoes kept the crabs away very well. Violet also made an invention that flung salt on the ceiling. The salt dried up the fungus and stopped it from dripping on the Baudelaire orphans. Violet does not learn very much in this story but she does learn how to stop driping fungus from driping on you. She also learns how to get snapping crabs from snapping at you. Later Also, Sunny has to make staples and Violet has to come up with an invention to help her sister with that task. So, Violet learns how to make staples.
Next is Klaus Baudelaire. Klaus is 12 years old, has many freckles, and is the middle child. He loves to read and do research. While living in the orphan's shack there are (as explained before) pinching crabs and dripping fungus. Before the orphans new how to get rid of the fungus and crabs they had to have Klaus Baudelaire research them. Klaus found out that the fungus would shrivel up and dry up if you threw salt on it and the crabs were a rare kind that hated loud metallic "clinks". He helped his sister with the inventions by providing the necessary information. All in all, Klaus is mostly a static character. He doesn't learn much in "The Series Of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 Austere Academy", but he does learn about snapping crabs and dripping fungus.
My last character is Sunny Baudelaire. Sunny is about 2 years old, has four sharp teeth, and is about the size of a salami. She is practically 99% static character. She only learns how to be a receptionist for a very annoying man. How much more can a baby learn?
My characters don't change much in one book, but throughout this whole series, they change a lot. They seem static now, but later on they will be dynamic, from the first book to the last.

Book Report Paragraph 1. Main Character
I'm reading "The Series of Unfortunate Events; Book 5 Austere Academy". In my book there are 3 main characters, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire, 3 very loving siblings. Their parents died in tragic fire and now they've been traveling from guardian to guardian, looking for a stable home. Count Olaf, the orphans' first guardian, has been following them around everywhere, trying to get his filthy hands on the ginormous Baudelaire fortune. This is a very sad but exciting book with great characters that make the story so much better. Let me tell you about Violet first.
Violet Baudelaire is 14 years old and the oldest of the 3 Baudelaire orphans. She has long, dark brown hair and a pretty face, and loves inventing things. You can always tell when Violet is about to invent something because she ties her hair up in a dark blue ribbon. In the past stories, Violet always comes up with a good invention to help her family when they get into trouble. She respects the adults, even when she's trying to convince her guardians that Olaf is there, he's just in disguise. Violet's plans to let everyone know who Olaf really is never fail. The police always get there in time. Sadly, she can't keep him from escaping.
The next main character in my story is Klaus Baudelaire. Klaus is 12 years old and the middle Baudelaire child. He has large, coke-bottle glasses and a lot of freckles. An important thing about Klaus is he loves to read. Back at the Baudelaire mansion before it was burned, The family had a library with every kind of book you could imagine. Klaus had read every single book in that library and he was working on reading them twice. Whenever Klaus's siblings don't know something or what a word means Klaus can always remember what it is, all because he read a book about it.
My last Character is little Sunny Baudelaire, the youngest of the 3 sibling. She is only about 2 years old and the size of a loaf of bread. Sunny had a very unusual quality to herself, and that is her love of biting. She has four very sharp teeth, 2 on the top of her mouth, and 2 on the bottom. She loves to bite anything, from wood to rubber toys. You name it, she'll bite it. Aside from that, Sunny is compassionate and caring and tries to do everything she can to help her brother and sister. Especially if that means she gets to bite some things.

Memoir
I remember the time i got first in a dance competition. I was six years old and so was my friend, Celena. We did a very cute tap dance to a song called "The Dirty Boogie". After all the dances were done we all sat and waited on stage for what felt like forever. Finally they started to call names. After 9 pairs of names were called, they called up me and Celena to the front of the stage. A bald man, who looked to be about 40, was waiting there. He handed me a trophy that was the color of gold and shined like a millions diamonds!
"Girls, what are your names?" He asked us.
I replied with, "uhhhh... I'm Alli and this is Celena." We spoke softly, we were so confused why we were standing at the front of the stage. Plus, we didn't know why this man handed us a trophy. It was our first dance competition ever and we didn't really get the whole point of it.
"It's alright girls, I understand your being so quiet. You girls are just shy." The man said to us. But we weren't shy, we were just confused.
"Please just go stand by the other dancers in line."
We did as he said and stood in line with nine other pairs of dancers. Finally the man told us why we were in line. We were in the top ten for duets! Even better, We got first place out of all of the duets! After everybody's name and place was called we all sat down on stage again while everybody applouded. After about 15 more minutes of "name calling", we were called up to the satge again. Celena was holding our first trophy so the man again handed me a new trophy. We had won top dance, meaning our dance was the best of all the dances the judges had seen that night! They told us that there was over 100 dances, and we were good enough to beat them all! Being as cute as we were probably helped a bit too!

About Me
Haha! I love this color!!
About me.... hmm where can i start?
Well, for starters, I'm an eighth grader at North Junior High (but you already know that). I'm 13 years old, but I'll be 14 in a few months (December!). I'm 5 feet short and my favorite color is yellow! I have one mother, her name is Dell, and a father named Stacy! My brother, Zach, is now 15 and got his permit this July. I have a 9 year old American Eskimo (fluffy, white dog) and 3 summers ago we adopted a tuxedo cat (black and white). Their names are Kody (short for Dakota) and PJ (short for Pickles Junior). I've been dancing for forever and a day. Everyday after school I go to Apollo for dance team, and on Mondays and Thursdays I dance at a studio in Sauk Rapids for about 4 hours each day. I play soccer in the summer and I love to swim. I like to read, hang with friends, and spend time with my "wonderful" family when I'm not busy. Sometimes I just enjoy spending time in my room with just Me and Myself, but not I, she's a party pooper! (haha!) My biggest fears are spiders, falling off of really tall things, getting an "F", and some times my daddy (but that's only when he gets angry and yells).
I guess you could say that i"m an interesting person but I wouldn't. I'd just call me normal. Wll, that's really all i have to say.
That was kind of a lot to read, but now you know me.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Ciao!!
