My grandpa Bernie is the person who has inspired me the most in life. He has inspired me to work hard, to persevere through anything, and to always try my hardest. He is a great hero, and I’ll always love him for all the support he gives me.
My grandpa Bernie inspires me to work hard in many ways. When he was younger and was still in school, he didn’t have very good grades, and he struggled some in school. Now he is a very prosperous doctor. He worked very, very hard for many years to become a doctor. He had to bring up all his grades by spending sometime doing school work after school, and he had to go through many tough years of college. I also want to be a doctor when I grow up. Even though I have very good grades now, and don’t have to try very much in school to do well, I know high school and college will be harder and I will be forced to try very hard. When the going gets rough, I’ll just think of how bad I want it, and think of my grandpa and what he would do in that situation.
The next thing my grandpa inspires me to be persevering. When he was younger, he had almost no money. He was very poor. Look at him now! He has a four story house with a vacation house in Arizona. He has a lot of money to spare, and he always gets me one of the best presents on my birthday or Christmas. I have a good amount of money right now. I am definitely not rich, but I’m also not a poor hobo on the side of the road. When I grow up I want a well paying job so I can be rich and live in luxury.
The last way I’ve been inspired my grandpa is the way he always tries his hardest. It makes me think of him as kind of like a super hero. Like he needs a big cape or something.

haha, when I was reading this it made me laugh. I think you did a great job on defining what kind of future you want to behold and I love your doctor idea. I liked how you described the characteristics, but you didn't quite explain all of them, you only explained some. Other than that, I think you did a fantastic job. If this were my paper, I wouldn't change a thing. :)
ReplyDeleteThis was really good. I agree with sarah. I wouldn't change anything. And you had really good word choice. This reminds me of my own grandfathers. Nice job :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, well thank you Sarah! Also remember, this is a rough draft, and I wrote it very quickly, I was trying to get all my ideas out in time. I also didn't really get to work on the last paragraph very much. Thanks for the "constructive critacism" :)
ReplyDeleteI as well agree with Sarah about how you should add in one or two more characteristics, other then that I think it's fine and I won't change a thing. It also reminds of my grandfather as well.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a wonderful job on how you grampa inspires you. It was very good.
ReplyDeleteI liked that you went far into explaining why you look up to him. I have no questions. If this were my paper id be better of then with what I have (I have nothing to say(thats good))
