October/November Book Report!

The book I read for my October/November book report is "The Series Of Events; Book 9 The Carnivorous Carnival". This is one of my favorite series of books. I can really relate to all the characters, and when I'm reading the books I feel as if I am there in the story with them.

If I had to rate this book on a scale of one to ten, I think I would rate it somewhere between an eight and a ten. This book is very good. The author, Lemony Snicket, uses very many adjectives, and explains everything in great detail. These are a few of the reasons why I would rate the book so high. A few of the rating points would be taken away, though, because I felt that the book could have ended better. Throughout the whole book, there are a lot of questions that either the Baudelaire’s or the reader asks themselves. Now, I think it’s very good for a book to end its chapter with a big question, or to end a book that’s a part of a series with a question, but I think this book just may have a few too many questions. It’s actually quite annoying. The author leaves you with too much to think about and so many questions to ponder, that you almost just want to give up reading the book because you don’t ever know if you’ll get those questions answered. All that aside, I like this book very much, and if you’re thinking of reading it but you’re a little skeptical about all the mysteries, don’t worry about it. I’ve read two more books of this series after this one and the author answers very many of your questions.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

  1. It amazes me how your writing flows so nicely, Ali. I can see that is progressing from when I had you a year ago.
